1. In the first sentence it should be "Me gusta trabajar." When you have two verbs in a row like that you need the second verb to be in the infinitive form. "Trabajando" does mean "working" but the gerand (-ing "ando) usually is just used after the verb estar.
2. To say he works hard you should say "él trabaja duro." Difícil refers to something that is hard as in something difficult.
